FCT HOSPITALS MANAGEMENT BOARD PARTNERS NIGERIAN NAVY
The FCT Hospitals Management Board has partnered with the Nigerian Navy Medical Services to improve healthcare service delivery in the Federal Capital Territory.
This partnership is aimed at supporting more patients in need of healthcare services and providing adequate medical services to the fast-growing population of Abuja.
Dr. Mohammed Kawu, the Director-General of the Board, emphasized the importance of stakeholders coming together to achieve effective and sustainable service delivery.
He noted that attrition and indiscipline among members of the public are factors affecting healthcare service delivery in the country but are absent in the military due to their structured system. The Board plans to visit Naval facilities soon to capture them into the FCT Health Records.
The Director, Medical Services, Navy Medical Corps, Captain M.J. Salihu expressed delight at the warm reception from the Board and saw this partnership as a sign of a good working relationship between the two partners in the healthcare sector.
