ABUJA CITY HALF MARATHON ROAD DIVERSIONS ALERT 🏃‍♂

On Saturday, April 20, 2024, the first edition of the Premium Trust Bank Abuja City International Half Marathon will take place. Due to this event, the FRSC has announced several road diversions and alternative routes in Abuja to facilitate a smooth marathon. Key diversions include:

  1. Traffic at Abuja City Gate diverted to the service lane.
  2. Vehicles from Berger to Area 1 diverted to Airport Road.
  3. From Area 1 to Apo Junction, all vehicles moved to the service lane.
  4. Apo Junction to Asokoro Road Junction blocked for 4 hours.
  5. Nyanya to Kubwa Road open, but Kubwa Road approach blocked for 4 hours.
  6. Routes from Force Headquarters to Federal Secretariat via Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Road and from Transcorp Hotel to Federal Secretariat blocked for 4 hours.

Residents are advised to plan their travels accordingly to avoid inconvenience. Additionally, the Marathon Expo is currently underway at Jabbi Lake Resort, featuring registration, bib collection, volunteer training, and showcases by sponsors. Stay updated and plan ahead!

ROAD DIVERSION!

With the ongoing construction work at Wuye junction of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Express Way, motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid waste of man hours. This is so because of the long diversion at the construction site. Let us please bear with the temporary measure.
