ABUJA CITY HALF MARATHON ROAD DIVERSIONS ALERT 🏃‍♂

On Saturday, April 20, 2024, the first edition of the Premium Trust Bank Abuja City International Half Marathon will take place. Due to this event, the FRSC has announced several road diversions and alternative routes in Abuja to facilitate a smooth marathon. Key diversions include:

  1. Traffic at Abuja City Gate diverted to the service lane.
  2. Vehicles from Berger to Area 1 diverted to Airport Road.
  3. From Area 1 to Apo Junction, all vehicles moved to the service lane.
  4. Apo Junction to Asokoro Road Junction blocked for 4 hours.
  5. Nyanya to Kubwa Road open, but Kubwa Road approach blocked for 4 hours.
  6. Routes from Force Headquarters to Federal Secretariat via Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Road and from Transcorp Hotel to Federal Secretariat blocked for 4 hours.

Residents are advised to plan their travels accordingly to avoid inconvenience. Additionally, the Marathon Expo is currently underway at Jabbi Lake Resort, featuring registration, bib collection, volunteer training, and showcases by sponsors. Stay updated and plan ahead!

HON. MINISTER OF STATE, FCT MOURNS ETSU OF KWALI, HRH ETSU SHABAN NIZAZO

With a very heavy heart and a deep sense of loss, I join the FAMILY OF LATE ETSU OF KWALI HRH ETSU SHABAN NIZAZO, the good people of Kwali Area Council as well as the entire FCT in mourning a distinguished and selfless Royal father. His demise is not only a loss to the FCT but to Nigerians from all walks of life who have come to call Kwali home. While praying that Almighty Allah grants the deceased Al -annah Firdaus, on behalf of the FCTA and the good people of FCT we pray and hope that the family finds the fortitude to bear the huge loss. Ameen.
